With a lineup that’s a veritable who’s who of Worcester music, there’s really no way to lose with local soul supergroup Beg, Scream and Shout. It’s a veritable army of musicians, each with pedigrees that include time in some of the region’s most beloved rock, soul and blues ensembles. The lineup includes singer Craig Rawding, drummer Duncan Arsenault, keyboardists Paul Buono and Brooks Milgate, guitarist Big Jon Short, bassist Dmitry Gorodetsky, saxophonist Pete Levesque, trombonist Jeff Galindo, trumpeter Bill Fanning and backing vocalist Anne Eggleston. But really, it’s not the credits that are important, but the music, and it only takes a casual listen to songs such as “No Amount of Alcohol” and the eponymous “Beg, Scream and Shout” to grasp that this is a classic soul outfit that plays it big, bluesy and tight as all get out. It’s the perfect way to blow out the holiday blues before settling down for Christmas festivities.
